Episode 320. Jefas y Mamás: How To Become A Financially Free Mom | Stefanie Gonzales

Stefanie Gonzales is a Latina born and raised in Texas who is passionate about helping women learn how to design life on their terms. How? By sharing her journey as a woman who has navigated corporate America, finding love & partnership, taking a bet to build a life abroad and building wealth along the way.

This stuff wasn’t taught to us in school, so she & her husband got serious about investing through learning and taking action… giving Stef & her partner the ability to pay off $420k in debt, become millionaires in 2021 and in 2022, reach a level of financial freedom to allow Stefanie to make one of the scariest decisions her life…. to leave her 15 year career in tech as a global supply chain leader and multi 6 figure earner to start designing her next chapter in Portugal with her husband and 2 boys.

Stefanie is in her 4th year as a Speaker and Consultant focused on topics like financial independence, moving abroad and inspiring others to give themselves permission to design their lives on their terms.

When she’s not supporting clients or collaborating with her partner on their heart lead projects, you’ll find her in full mom mode with her 4 and 6 year olds!

You can follow Stefanie on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube & Facebook.

In this episode, Stefanie gets real about her journey to financial independence, navigating motherhood, and making bold career moves while raising a family abroad. We dive into what it’s like to uproot your life and start fresh in Portugal, and how cultural shifts can shape the way we parent, work, and live.

Stefanie shares the mindset shifts that helped her take control of her finances, the unexpected benefits of relocating, and how she’s building a life that aligns with her values. We talk about the importance of keeping your identity beyond motherhood, having open money conversations, and creating a long-term plan for generational wealth.

This conversation is honest, empowering, and a reminder that there’s no one-size-fits-all path to freedom. If you’ve ever dreamed of living abroad or redefining success on your own terms, this one’s for you.
